Good news: Could coffee be good for you?

Hey, coffee lovers! Did you know that your morning cup of coffee might be doing more for you than just waking you up? Drinking coffee can help with weight loss and reducing diabetes risk! 

Let me break it down for you!

First off, according to the folks at Healthline, drinking three cups of coffee a day might actually help reduce your body fat and lower your risk of getting diabetes. Caffeine can boost your metabolic rate and help you burn more calories, which can lead to weight loss over time. Plus, it can also improve your body’s insulin sensitivity, which reduces your risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

But that’s not all! tells us that coffee can also improve brain function, increase alertness, and enhance memory and cognitive function. This is because caffeine blocks an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain, leading to an increase in neuron firing. And get this, coffee has even been linked to a lower risk of certain types of cancer, like liver and colorectal cancer. It has also been associated with a lower risk of heart disease and stroke. Of course, too much caffeine can have negative side effects, like anxiety and insomnia, so it’s important to keep your coffee consumption in moderation. But overall, it seems like there are plenty of reasons to enjoy your morning cup of coffee. Sleep experts suggest having your morning cup of coffee an hour after waking up and to stop drinking coffee by 2PM. This allows you to keep your circadian rhythm in tact which helps to regulate your sleep.

Our trainer, Chris, has recently taken to a cup of coffee every day after previously never having coffee before! So far he is enjoying the added benefits – but isn’t too sure on the taste!
